A video description by Dr Ole Ginther of movement of the equine fetus at all stages of pregnancy. The first 10 minutes cover important concepts. After 10 minutes a variety of interesting video presentations are shown, including detection of heart-beat, early and late ultrasonography of embryo and fetus, endoscopy of live fetal movement and mobility in the face of uterine contractions. Of particular value is the final portion where positional changes of the foal during delivery are described, the entrapment of the hind legs in the cord horn to ensure anterior presentation, and normal rotation of the fetus during delivery.
