"Perspectives on the Declaration of Independence" panel discussion and Q&A was presented at UMF's Emery Community Arts Center on 10/1/26 in conjunction with the Maine Historical Society's statewide tour of their rare copy of the Declaration of Independence. The event features UMF professors Jim Melcher and Michael Schoeppner, Executive Director of Maine Historical Society Steve Bromage, and Maine Policy Scholar Trinity Slate, and is moderated by Chris O'Brien. Presenters offer insights and perspectives on the Declaration of Independence from the fields of history, political science and anthropology.
