Brain Beal-Professor of Marine Ecology, University of Maine Machias
Dr. Beal studies the ecology and natural history of many commercial marine shellfish species in eastern Maine. His research combines ecology and mariculture; providing critical information about how to grow these species and how organisms interact. He works with others to provide new economic and educational opportunities to the people of Downeast and coastal Maine.
