03/08/2022 Morning Circle, with pledges (4-H and the Earth Pledge), nature appreciations, and a reflection. Spring is right around the corner and the natural world is busy preparing for its arrival. New birds are arriving daily on their migration paths northward and the air is warming up. Soon, spring meltwaters will wash down our local rivers. Spring is a time of birth, renewal, and hope. Our thoughts are with folks all over the earth who continue to face strife and struggle.
On International Women's Day, we reflected on a leader in science and humanity who serves as an inspiration to Jessica, Jane Goodall. Dr. Goodall's understanding of the role humans play in impacting the world around them models for us better ways of living, the value of compassion, and relationships. here is the quote shared today, "We have a choice to use the gift of our lives to make the world a better place." How do you use your gifts for positive change? Remember small gestures of kindness go a long way too, as does being mindful of trash and how much you buy. There are ways for each of us to take better care of each other and the earth.
