Description: In this session, you will learn about the Education Design Lab’s work and how the Lab’s eight 21st Century Skills badges benefit learners, employers, and universities. This session is led by Don Fraser, Chief Program Officer at Education Design Lab (EDL), a non-profit agency based in Washington D.C. dedicated to building equity within the future of work. To earn a 21st Century skills badge, learners must demonstrate that they met the four sub-competency standards. Each learner is assessed, using the Lab’s rubric. The University of Maine System is part of the Lab’s 21st Century Skills, Badged to Hire initiative. This is the second session presented by the Lab. For further information on the 21st Century Skills badges please visit the EDL webpage.
For further information about the Lab’s 21st Century Skills visit EDL micro-credential website. If you are interested in completing these badges yourself or if you would like to map these badges to your courses or programs, please consider attending the “Mapping Education Design Lab’s 21st Century Skills to Your Courses and Programs” session or sign up for a one-on-one mapping session.
