Setting up a meeting on Google Calendar is a good skill to learn. Many of you, when you graduate, will set up meetings this way. My own graduate advisee, Alexandria Poulin, showed me how to do this some years ago.
The video starts with one of my advisees, Sophia, showing me what's on her computer computer screen and I walk her through the steps of inviting me to a meeting. To invite me to a meeting, you would do what Sophia does on this video. Thank you Sophia!
1. Open your google drive calendar
2. You will see my name (Robert Causey) in the lower left- click on that. You see it because I have shared my calendar with all my advisees
3. It then shows my calendar, when I am busy and free. The calendar is color coded for each person. My calendar may be a different color on your screen than in the video.
4. Pick a time when we are both free, but please make it at least 24 hours in the future so I have time to see it.
5. On your calendar click on the time slot to create your meeting (event) and edit as necessary the times to when you want to meet with me.
6. On the invitation add me as a guest
7. Save the meeting and send me an invitation when prompted. I will accept your invitation or let you know if I can't.
8. You are all done. If you want to be the one to create the zoom or google hangout link, go for it. Otherwise I can send the link.
